Cleaning up the hard drive

I hate it when my folders get out of control, which they were doing, so I sat down and made myself finish these so they can go into my Posted folder. I might be a little type-A. hahah

Anyway, two of these are from when I first started dinking around with banners. I think it's pretty obvious which those are. hahah And let's all have a giggle over my questionable idea of putting five Spikes on one banner, though I admit it's hard to tear your eyes away from Punk!Spike, who's all Grrr! and neck snappy. That should be a turn off, yet...so totally not. I just won't put "soulless killers" on my Playboy playmate bio sheet under Likes. Also, I've realized I may like soft glowy blobs of light a little too much. I'm going to have to watch that I don't overuse it.

Enough with boring you with my wacky thought processes. I get rambly before bed, sorry. Banners under the cut. Like something? Let me know! Have a suggestion for something I could do better? Bring it on! I love learning from mistakes. :)

I'm not sold on the first two, but I adore the third. See above, Re: soft glowy blobs. Also, I totally dig the shadow/cut out effect. Something else I need to keep an eye on overdoing.

And because I was feeling silly, I turned the first one into a Friends Only banner. Mostly because I've been dying to use the font. hahah

I do like the third banner the best for composition, though there are aspects of all three that I adore :) LOVE the textures on all three *is a texture girl* I think there is a bit much going on in the second with the multiple images but they are quite faded out so there are not overwhelmingly distracting from the Punk Spike. Do you still have this file? 'Cause I totally have a request if you do and wouldn't mind tweaking it :) *needs a new background on her computer*

Oooh, textures. They're lovely things. I'm always on the prowl for them.

I have the file...several different .psds, actually. Hey, I said I was type-A! hahaha I'm always open to requests, I just don't always mention it in my posts. :)

These are all really great! I really like the second one - particularly the chinese writing (what is that - a brush, texture?).

I agree that maybe the five Spikes is a bit much (although too many Spikes is probably not a bad thing haha) - but I really like how it looks with the smoking Spike on the left corner, and the fanged four on the right. It's just maybe the vamp face Spike and William that overwhelm the graphic a little? I don't know.

Really like the third one - I'm with you on the overusing of certain things, I overuse radial blur and the font OptimusPrincepsSemiBold... trying to stop myself from doing that lately!

And I think that the first one works really well as a friends only banner, love the way you've added the text - what font is that?

Aww, thank you! Maybe I'm my own worst critic. haha You're absolutely right about not needing those two floating heads at the top. I'll fiddle with it when I get some time. I know what you mean, though, it seems counter-intuitive that there could be too many Spikes. . . lol

The writing comes from a texture from a set by careforpears : distressing news texture set and the font in the friends only picture is Impact label, Regular
