Missing pieces

I wanted to have more than one graphic to share, but I'm just not feeling the Spike/Buffy inspiration these days. :( I've had this done for a while now, and am too impatient to sit on it any longer.

Anyway, this was done from a tutorial, found here. While it's not quite what I'd set out to make, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. It's a little off center, but I'd come too far to fix it without having to start over from scratch and I couldn't bear that idea. My aching wrist. My forearm hurt for about two days. Let's hear it for carpal tunnel pain! heh. I should've waited to do this until I had a tablet. lol Maybe when (if) I get one from my Christmas elf, I'll try this again with a slightly more consistent result.

I don't have any matching icons to go with, at least not at the moment. If I make any, I'll mention it. I'm not really seeing this as a header or story banner, but if anyone would like it personalized or resized, all you need to do is ask. :) Please comment if you liked it, are taking it, have a problem, or would like to provide constructive criticism. Wow, this is great! Seriously, it's so cool. I wonder if this will work in GIMP... I want to try it out. :D

Anyway, I actually like that it's off center, and maybe if it were a bit slanted. But that's just me, and I'm not good at making graphics. Haha. I can also see this is as a story banner. :D

And why aren't you feeling the Spuffy inspiration?

I wish I'd thought of turning the whole thing a bit off kilter, that's a brilliant idea. Ah well.

There are lots of reasons I'm not feeling the inspiration, some personal, some fandom-y. A lot of the fun has been sucked out of it for me the past few months. I'm sure it's just a phase. Either it'll pass or it won't. Hope it does; I like Vampire Diaries and all but I don't feel about it the way I used to feel about BtVS & this 'ship. I miss that.

I'm still awed that you did this whole thing. I would have done two pieces and said 'screw it'. I hope your Xmas elf brings you a tablet. I would love to see what you could do with it - not just with redoing this piece! <3 the puzzle. I think it could totally work as a fic banner... something post-NFA where Spike and Buffy find each other again and everything ends happily (with the pieces all falling into place - zomg the punz). Too bad I can't write.
