Because this theme HAS NEVER BEEN DONE
I thought I'd try my hand at it with my second banner attempt. I'm pretty happy with it! I don't THINK I missed any stray clumps of hair or backgrounds (though it was a close thing, I couldn't figure out WHAT that was that was behind Spike's head...it's gone now, and I'm not going to tell you what it was, but it was frustrating for a few minutes!) and I think I managed to better match the coloring & contrast on Spike & Buffy. I may still try to make it brighter overall, I'm not entirely sold on the brightness level as it is.
One day I'll feel better about making banners without the safety of diaphanous textures, but that day is not today. hahaha
btw...that's sarcasm up there in the subject line, if you don't know me well enough to have known that right away. :D
Comments and suggestions are, as always, most welcome. Even if you want to tell me to uninstall Photoshop. That sounded passively needy, didn't it? STROKE MY FRAGILE EGO!! *ridiculous eyelash batting and lip biting* You know, it's only a matter of time before people start adding *wearing pigtails* to their pleas for stroking, I swear. Oh my GOD, this is not about my pet peeves. Sorry! Would you buy that ham makes me tangentially inclined? Yeah, me neither. :D

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend. :) Our mother sent us home with more eggs than I know what to do with. Tuna salad and deviled eggs spring to mind, but I'm not sure that'll polish them off, honestly. And I've eaten my once yearly serving of ham, so I'm glad that's out of the way. I just don't. do. ham. I can eat it, I'll just never pass the pork section in the butcher shop and look for a ham to take home for dinner. EVER. I've always had an innate aversion to pork. (Except for bacon. I realize that's nonsensical -- rather like this post at the moment.)
Haven't brought this up in a while, so thought I'd mention it. We're three weeks away from the big day. 13.1 miles. Oof. Mary (the sister who is walking with me) and I went out yesterday for a 10-mile walk, and did it in 1:30. (well, a bit shy of that, but close enough for training!) which means that we were doing a little better than 15-minute miles. WOO. Though my hips (and hers, from what she said) are really hurting. Each week, a new muscle group protests. haha Also, I've learned over the past few weeks that anything past 7 miles and my brain says, "Okay, that's been fun. Let's go home and read fan fiction!" Long distance-walking is not for me. But I DO love working hard and sweating like a pig for 2 - 3 miles. It'll be a relief when this marathon is done and I can go back to doing just that, with maybe an occasional 6 miles stint on Saturdays.

This came out great! Love the coloring and the images you choose.
I'm at a low point. My Muse has been unusually silent this past couple days. :-(

Thank you for your really kind words, and the pimping! I'm still all zippy about it. :D
Hope your inspiration is just around the corner. It sucks when NO IDEAS flow. :( Good luck!

I love everything but Spike's forehead. Can you erase the image he's sitting on top of there a bit? That's TOTALLY the only thing I'd tell you to fix. Because it's awesome!

Thank you, it is kind of pretty. Not really my style, but pretty! :) I'll see what I can do to get his forehead fixed up.
Also, I'm watching Matthew MacFadyen in breeches now. NOT Georgian breeches, mind you, but Victorian ones (Little Dorrit). It's really quite delightful. (And how do I not have a Mr. Darcy icon in my userpics?! wtf is wrong with me?)
*high fives you for making it through another round of anime-hell*

Hello, I'm Carly! I was given your name/livejournal from Carrie (

How patient can you be? Depending on what's going on for me at the time and how much editing there is to do, it can take me 3 or 4 days to get a chapter back to you. It could be sooner, if the chapter's not in need of much work. And I'm not a cheerleader. Not saying that cheerleaders are bad, they're quite good, of course, but I will on occasion tell you things you do not want to hear.
I'm not trying to be all grr here, I just want to be perfectly clear about how I work. :) I really don't bite much, but I can be quite adamant (and passionate) about certain things, and I don't want to blind-side you when one of those pops up and I type up a half-page comment on why single quotation marks are the tools of the debbil. (You laugh, but it's been known to happen! :D)
Still interested? We could always do a one-chapter trial run, see if we can work together, if you are, and go from there.

I'm patient... well I'm capable of it at least!
You aren't scary... I want my writing to be a good as possible and although a lot of what goes into writing is subjective, grammatical errors are not, so i would love the help!
Should I email you the first chapter of my Wip? *is hopeful*

Thank you for the kind comment.
