Both are pretty basic texture and filter effects done from tutorials (with some tweaking on my end) that I found on icon_tutorial -- FAB community. Ridiculously awesome tips and tricks to be found there.

(And FYI, I love the first banner, I'm just not partial to that IMAGE of James. It's the hair. The texturing and style are superb, though!)
