home sick
I'm on my third day of a pretty wicked headache/back ache/cramps. Yay, womanhood. Anyway, I was reading through my blogs and saw some images for the upcoming movie Where the Wild Things Are, based (duh) on the book by Maurice Sendak, and was struck by how lovely they were. And so I grabbed what few pictures I could find, and whipped out some icons. I don't have particular fondness for the book (I barely remember it, honestly) but I found myself captivated by the photos these icons came from.
Enjoy, and please tell me what you think! :) If you do take any, feel free to modify them, just please credit me for the base. Thank you!

I do remember the character from icon number one though and they did a fantastic job taking a drawn character and bringing it to life and I love that icon. :)

It really looks like they've done a wonderful job with the creature creation. I'm so in love with the look of the stills that I may have to go see the film when it comes out in October.

Gorgeous icons! I might have to go see that movie, I actually didn't even know they were making it and I loved that book as a kid.

And thank you! I had very good source material. Everything about it has been very secretive, there aren't many pictures to be found. I'm going to have to pop down to the Children's department at work and give it a read, refresh my memory. I figure I can manage ten lines in pretty good time. lol
