I use KMPlayer which does captures and will play pretty much any file you throw at it (it's free at http://bit.ly/Snww2); I'm just lazy and am more than happy to take advantage of someone else's work. Which is stupid, by the time I find good quality caps I'm willing to use, I could probably have made my own, lol!
