I really thought I'd moved on from caring one whit about Spike & Buffy. However, judging by the way my heart thumped and I got a little happy flutter in my stomach when I read the following, I was so, SO wrong. I WILL LOVE THEM FOREVER AND EVER.

Katie Lucas: Who did you like together with Buffy the most: Angel, Riley, or Spike?

Joss Whedon: You know what, I liked Spike. With Angel it’s too “Romeo and Juliet”. Which means, as soon as it happens you’re bored. Riley, you know he was a well-adjusted person who loved her in a much, much healthier way than the other two guys. Nobody wants to see that. With Buffy and Spike, they had a real Beatrice and Benedick kind of relationship, in “Much Ado About Nothing”. I think with the wedding, she would have tried to do something fast, but he would have made it elaborate and done everything wrong. It would have been extraordinarily counter-intuitive, and awesome!

All of my screencap zip files were hosted on Megaupload. (In case you've been out of the loop, the US Government shut down Megaupload last Thursday.) I've not uploaded the files elsewhere. Yet. I'm not even sure if I have all the files any more, as I tended to delete stuff of my hard drive after I put it on MU. Anyway, to finally get to the point of this post, let me know if you want any caps. I'll see if I can find the files and get them available to download. :)

It's almost time for me to leave for Dragon*Con and I am BESIDE MYSELF. I'm excited, and nervous, which is weird, but there you go. I'm weird, which should come as a surprise to approximately NO ONE. It's going to be a slightly different experience for me this time around, what with having all sorts of different fandoms now, instead of being focused mainly on the Whedon stuff. True Blood, Being Human, Doctor Who (Seven will be there! HOW EXCITING!), Smallville, Vampire Diaries, Star Wars (Princess Fucking Leia, guys), the skeptics and space tracks... I sense being very busy, and being very disappointed that I can't be in two or three places at once.

I have food, I have nerdy shirts (one I even made myself using this stencil. Oh my GOD, the DRAMA of that. Things I suck at: t-shirt painting. Even with stencils. ESPECIALLY with stencils), I have gel inserts for my Chuck Taylor's, and Aleve, and ThermaCare heat wraps (because I am OLD), I have new cute underthings (you never know, amirite?), I have an ice pack (because there will be hangovers), I have drugs to keep me from pooping, I have drugs to make me poop, I have drugs to help me sleep, I have things for stains on clothes. I have a HOT PLATE, for Pete's sake. And yet, I keep feeling like I've forgotten something major and that whatever it is will show my complete failure as a human being and will make this trip the worst ever in recorded history. I will, in all likelihood, contract dysentery AND drown trying to ford a river. You know what would've made the Oregon Trail easier? Wal-Mart. Evil, sure, and I never ever shop there in my day-to-day life, but their ubiquitous presence sure is handy in a pinch.

So. There are my neuroses on display. hahahaha

I always say I'll try and post during the con, but that never actually happens. I won't make any promises, but I will say that my new phone makes stuff like that way easier than my old Blackberry...so, maybe?

Meet Henry. He's a dead English guy with a thing for punk rock. You know, like that other dead English guy who has a thing for punk rock. (That sounds faintly ooky when it's all typed out, hahaha!) I stumbled into Spirited in a fit of boredom and I'm utterly enamored of it. Thank you, Australia! ♥

Here's the promo for the upcoming episode. All you really need to know is that she's alive, he's a ghost, she's the only living person who can see him, and they're each other's TWU WUV. This show, and this 'ship, fill all my romantic, so-sweet-it's-almost-diabetic-coma-inducing needs.

Is there anyone else out there watching & loving Spirited?

My dreamwidth page was, like, 2 years out of date, but that's all been fixed. It has a shiny new layout, too (css gives me a headache).xtanitx

I'm going to try to remember to update both journals, what with DW's handy cross-posting feature. Pretty sure I said that two years ago, too, and well, you can tell how that panned out. Also, I don't understand the circles thing, I think I've added my friends from LJ to DW, but lord knows I probably did it wrong! lol Anyway, if any of you are at DW, look me up. :)

Two banners, one Spike, one, uh...slutty Buffy? hahah It's from an SMG photoshoot.

The SMG banner was made by (mostly) following a tutorial by Amy, the Spike banner is a very slightly tweaked version of this. He turned out a little darker than I really would like, but overall I'm pretty pleased with it.
